MiT Systems was started in 1997 in order to provide a wireless solution using handheld devices for sales force automation in the Direct Store Delivery (DSD) industry. Founder and CEO, Bal J. Maraj, has over thirty years experience in the beverage distribution industry and realized a need to improve the way field-based sales were being done. With traditional paper-based route books, orders were regularly lost and subject to errors and delays as sales representatives brought in hand-written orders for manual data entry.

With the old method, there were also delays in the processing of orders thereby impacting the rest of the order fulfillment cycle. Maraj saw a need in the entire Direct Store Delivery industry for order information to be brought in correctly, speedily, and cost effectively, and he looked to wireless communications for the answer.

The result of the vision and the technological innovations is the MiTEzSales Mobile® package that combines CRM functionality on handheld devices with wireless capabilities and the Internet. The solution allows the transmission of data wirelessly using a wireless card or a cell phone at a lower cost or via local USB connections. By replacing route books with Pen Tablet and Pocket PC handheld Devices, MiTEzSales Mobile® eliminates order entry errors while increasing the ability of sales people to build customer relationships by spending more face-to-face time with their customers. MiTEzSales Mobile® provides the capability for sales people to send customer orders directly to their distribution center for fulfillment as they are being taken in the field and focus more on selling.

Now in its seventh year of operations, MiT Systems has expanded its modern suite of applications to focus on all aspects of the DSD industry and order fulfillment process. This includes a Quota system (MiTEzQuota Mobile™), delivery route creation software (MiTEzDispatch™), human resource management solution (MiTEzHRCenter™), and a complete ERP package (MiTEzERP™). Built with the same vision and experience, these products will help to improve and benefit all parts of the industry by combining business practices with technology.
